add a player coming in from the side. This will create 1v1 scenarios from the side and angle as well as allow the winger to make diagonal runs into space behind the defenders or towards the ball into the pocket to recieve the ball to lay it off or turn.

1 plays versus 2

If player 1 has the ball, he is attempting to get a shot on goal and score on GOAL B, while player 2 tries to steal the ball and shoot on the opposite GOAL A. The same 1v1 game is played between players 3 and 4.
If player 1 shoots the ball and scores or misses the net, he immediately transitions into becoming a defender as the next player in line for group 2 comes flying out to take him on 1v1.
If the goalkeeper makes a save, he will play the ball back into play
