2v1 Game + Transition
ORGANIZATION: 20x10 Yard Grids.
DURATION: 4 Blocks x 2 min
CONDITIONS:
2v1 in each half. Defenders have to stay in defensive half. If the two lose it at some point they become the defenders.
Scoring: Attackers get one point if they successfully beat the defenders. If the defenders win it and score in counter goal where they are facing, then they get 1 pt, attackers get -1.
Block 1&2: If 2 attackers play into central gate for next attacker in line = 2 pts, dribble across endline = 1 pt
Block 3&4: Add 3rd man supporting run = 3 pts.
Coaching points:
Create 2v1 + Optimal Width

3v3 + 2 in 30x20
Game #1: 3v3 + 2 targets on outside. Switch neutrals after each game.
- 3 minute games
- Team scores by a point by successful switching the ball from one target to the other without it being intercepted by other team.
- Targets cannot play target directly.
- Targets only have one touch
Game #2: Target cannot play the player they received from
Game #3: Same rules but now can't play target twice.
Game #4: 1 touch
Coaching Points: How can we speed the play up? (Answer: scan the field to know what to do before receiving the ball, limit your touches, take touch to where you want to go, hips open to field & receive ball across body) What must offensive team do when ball is played into target (game #2)? be an option and support! How can we connect more passes?

Progression:
3v2+1: Closest player or person who shot the ball must run around nearest Big cone, before returning to play. Offensive Team needs to take advantage.
Coaching Points-
Create & Exploit Space
Overload emphasis: good quick decision making in final third. Commit player by going at them so they are eliminated and play passes into space.
