Warm up (10 mins)
Set up: Lines set up with 2 gates at either end and players divided to stand at each end.
Procedure: The first player from both ends with a ball drive forward towards the opposite end line and plays a pass the next player through the gate. Next player receiving the pass comes and meets the ball and repeats the exercise.
Progression: 1. Pass & chase (returnig back to own line) 2.1-2 bounce pass.
Coaching points:
- Touch ball out of feet to allow more distance to be covered at speed.
- Pass into the path of the player.
- Meet the ball with a positive touch out of feet to start the run with the ball.
