1) Work with one ball to coach understanding and movement. Back four pass around and drop off the cone, facng fwd, open up body shape & receive on back foot.2) Final full back to receive ball takes a +ve touch fwd and swaps with the opposite full back and repeats the practice.
3)Progress by adding two balls and shout change direction.4)Exercise to coach nearest man going for the ball and recovery positions. 4 v 4, one team has the ball and plays two touch max between each other, the opposite team have to close down passively player with ball.

4 v 2 + 1 directional transitional game. Four players are positioned in each box with an all time attacker designated in black.If the red team is in possession of the ball then the blue team sends two players into the other grid to defend and regain possession. When the 2 blue players win possession they successfully play the ball back into their own grid and join the play. Two red players must transition over and defend. At any time if the defending team knocks the ball out of the grid they are rewarded by a change of possession and a new ball is sent into their grid.

3 defensive practices
1) Defensive movement zig-zags facing forward, snapping shoulders, quick feet, bend knees, use arms, focus.
2)Quick feet recovery exercise in zig-zags
3) One person protects the ball, the defender tries to win it back and dribble it out of the grid. 20 secs in the grid. Recovery for 1 minute whilst two more players go in. Change roles
4) Diagonal pass, close arced run, jockey and show inside.Passive exercise progressive to non-passive.
