1 LB Supports the attack by a higher position to support LM
2 LM recognizes 5v3 and specifically 4v2 in her zone and turns for support from the Defense.
3 CB Drops incase of need to be an option & RB steps forward as an option to switch play
4 LB receives across the body to change the point of attack

5 RB is positive, attacks the space to create an overload 3v2 or at the very least 3v3
6 Players must problem solve the 3v3 or 3v3 with passing and movement skills/creativity etc.

7v7 - Sally
Great Job this weekend. The 2 games I watched were relatively easy for you guys, and I just wanted to provide some feedback. in the first game I watched the girls counter attacked really well and and understood what I assume you've been working on the phase of play Crossing and finishing. The girls were making good intelligent decisions ALONE. They used the width well and defended together and with intensity.
General Comments
Higher Defensive Line when in possession LB & RB (Half way Line)
Above i've put together an illustration. When the counter attack didn't work the other team had a 5v3 overload and how you can work with the girls to recognize this and problem solve.
initially id encourage you to establish the girls understanding 4 basic phase of play:
Counter Attack - recognizing Spaces and Overloads to attack Direct and at Speed
Organized Attack - recognizes the other teams overload advantage and looking to change the point of attack and create overloads.
Counter Defense - Seeing overloads or mistakes to press quickly and in numbers to retain possession.
Organized Defense - Slowing down the other team, to regain shape and balance. patient defending until a trigger or play around our goal (bad pass, bad touch, head down etc) for the other team allows us to counter defense and press.
Ill send you further information on this phases of play.
