Positioning Game (35 mins)

7 v 7 Possession 2 Jokers (Green) and end bouncers

Coaches on either side in 7,11 positions

The aim is to play from one end to the other as quickly as possible

High tempo possession drill, plenty of passing options

You can only play your own colour at the end bouncers

Start with passive defence on jokers - no tackle just jockey

No rules or conditions to start

The green jokers can only in the two thirds at their end of the pitch

Coaching Points

Can you hit your team mate who is in the most space?

Can you play the ball in the opposite direction than it came from?

Can you see the play 2 moves ahead?

If the are no passing options, can you run with the ball to create your self some space?

Can you scan and see passing options before you receive the ball?

Can you switch the play with a longer pass?

Progression

You must hit one Joker before you can play the end bouncer

You must hit a Joker and a coach before planning the end

Full press on the jockers

Jokers play 2 touch

Swap with your end bouncers when you pass the ball

You must hit the bouncer with a first time pass - bouncer back to unlimited touches
