Option 1:

• Teams split themselves so they have two lines either side of their two goals
• 2 players from each team enter the ground at the same time
• The teams play until the ball goes out or a goal is scored
• Once the ball goes out or if someone scores both teams go out and to the back of their lines
• If a team scores then the coach serves the ball to the next pair from the same team
• If the red team kicked the last ball out during the last round then the coach serves the ball to the new blue team pair (and vice versa)

Option 2:

If the groups are very young and Option 1 is too confusing for them, just do number soccer with the coach as the + 1 and always call 2 numbers out at a time. This will result in the 3v2 scenario that we want

Coaching Points:

• Use the width of the field

• Be patient to move the defenders

• Draw a defender before releasing the ball

• If they are split try to play through them

• If they are together try to play around them

• Be beside and inline of the defender (on their shoulder so the pass can erase them)
