Introduce players to coming to the ball and forming triangles off of players movements

THE SESSION:
- Players 1 and 2 attack 2 vs 1 vs a small goal just outside of the 18 yard box.
- The second the goal is scored they then have to show for the ball at angles supporting the 2 attackers who then have to play around the central goal to attack the large goal.
-Players can drop in show.
- Defenders can come back and recover and it becomes a 4 vs 2.
-Add defenders when ever needed. can move them into either zone so players can explore.
Have players play in their roles when attacking FB-CB-W start in the back, CM - S start up high.

2 vs 1 to 3 vs 1 Progression Warm UpIf you have large numbers do on 2 goals Play 2 vs 12 yard boxes outside the goal. Slightly Inside the 18 and outside. Red plays 2 vs 1 and one must come back into the free zone to go 2 vs 1. U9-10 No OffsideU11+ Play that the opposing D is the offside line but cant come into the free zone.Progressions:
Progression 1: One attacker drops and they go 2 vs 1 (third doesn't join)
Progression 2: Now a defender starts on the middle line and can go on the players touch.
Progression 3: U13 + start with 3 vs 2 in the final 3rd.
Progression 4: Start with 1 in the receiving zone and the other 2 can rotate in.
Coaching Points.
1. Encourage the attacker to create an angle with their first touch.
2. Encourage immediate support to the ball carrier.
3. Open body shape when receiving.
4. Look to draw defenders.
5. Get behind!
6. Support each and every pass.
