Dynamic Stretches
1. Legs apart, bounce L, C, R (5x)
2. Calves 1, 2, 3 switch (2x each leg)
3. Knee to chest into Figure 4 with footwork in between (2x each)
4. Quad strech with footwork in between (2x each)
5. Speed skater with footwork in between (2x each)

Objective: improve our ability to communicate by creating a common language.
Organization: top of 18 to midline, 1 ball for every 3 players.
Instructions: players pass and move in the 1/2 field. They use feet, space, time, man on and turn to communicate when they don't have the ball and once they pass the ball.
Variations: (1) focus on one area of communication like turn, (2) mix in groups of 3 juggling, (3) mix in heading game groups of 6.
Coaching Points: (1) players must ask for the ball feet or space, (2) players must pass the ball and pass information, (3) pass information early, (4) quality of passes, (5) quality of receiving, (6) communication also means listening.

Objective: improve possession through maintaining a big field when WE have the ball.
Organization: 6 yard box to midline. 8v8 to 10v10. 5 goals that are 8 yards wide spread out in the half as shown.
Instructions: Team in possession tries to pass the ball to a teammate through one of the goals. Teammates may not run through the goals. They must shape their runs. You can't score by going through the same goal twice in a row.
Variations: (1) now you can dribble or pass through the gates, (2) only dribble through gates.
Key Coaching Points: (1) Get big when we have the ball; (2) Have support around the ball; (3) Eyes up vision of the field; (4) Don't be afraid to stretch the field with longer passes.

Objective: improve our ability to hit longer passes
Organization: groups of 4 organized across the field (see diagram)
Instructions: each group of 4 is a team. The objective is to hit a long ball in the air to the pair on the other side who must control and catch the ball for a point. First team to 3 points wins the game.
Variations: (1) serve stationary ball left and right foot, (2) serve moving ball left and right foot, (3) controlling player only gets one touch.

Rondo 8v2 (15 mins)
Objective: mental and physical activation game for the training session.
Set-up: 10x10 grid. 10 players.
Instructions: players play 1 touch keep away. If the defenders win the ball they drop the vests and transition quickly into the possession.
Timing: Play 4 minutes, stretch on their own 2 minutes, play 4 minutes then go into dynamic stretch.
Coaching Points: (1) quality of passes, (2) receiving the ball open across our body, (3) proper passing and receiving, movement to fill in spaces, fast transitions from defending to attacking and from attacking to defending.
Variations: (1) Make it a competition. Each team sends over 2 defenders. Play for 1 minute or until a team gets a certain number of passes in a row (ex 10). Keep score.
