If a number called out in the 20's, we set up as shown.  

 

a) Our 6 fronts the keeper and doesn't let her catch it.  

b) Our 7/11's set up based on the side of the field the ball is being struck from with the far player framing the far post and the near player staying at top of the box at the circles cross. 

c) Our 2/3's set up based on side of field also as shown

d) Our 8/9 are set up in the three in order shown.

30's Set-up

If a number called out in the 30's, we set up as shown.  

 

a) Our 6 fronts the keeper and doesn't let her catch it.  

b) We bunch the front of the goal inside the 6 yard box and as Alyssa/Gigi drop their hand to strike, the furthest to away drop to the back post at the goal and on the 6.  

c) Our 7/11 and 2/3 now move inside the box by about 4 yards.

d) Our kicker is looking to drive the ball at the front post player who is just trying to deflect the ball inside the post (open your hips, shoulders and head so angled towards the goal)

40's - Pick Play

If a number called out in the 40's, we set up as shown.  

 

We are running a full on pick play. NOTE:  We must line all of these players up tight/touching and starting 2 yards inside that far post so we hit an easy front foot.  This requires full attention to our 9 lining up touching our 2/3 so that a defender has to either be in front of behind her.  Our 6 and our 8 will work to step back and pick her player off so that Alyssa/Gigi hit a really hard driving ball on the ground to a 1 touch front foot finish.  I will only run this if we see that they are allowing that space to be hit.
