1) A1 passes to D1 (leads to receive)
2) D1 passes back to A1 then covers to middle of field, blocking direct route
3) A1 picks up and carries ball toward D2 who is passive
4) A1 then uses body and J-Turns on D2 to protect ball
5) Transfer pass to A2 (change point of attack) and 2v2 ensues
6) A3 looks to try work into space and create height for attacking through ball (not allowed to leave END ZONE, but others can come in)
Goal scored by dribbling over the line - defenders must dribble to either Attacker cones to score
This creates counter-attack mentality as well as cover-defending/pocketing concepts from attackers

Field set-up
Divide group up per coach for warm up session (5 minutes)
Shaded areas are the END ZONES
Groups of 6 (3 attackers v 2 defenders - rotate in 6th player as attacker after each round)
3v2 for 10 minutes
Progress to 3v3 for 10 minutes (attacker/defender roles rotate after 3 rounds)
Focus points ATTACKERS:
Draw defenders, protect ball and then release into space
Work hard off the ball to get free and into space
Focus points DEFENDERS:
Block middle of field (zonal marking) to cut off direct pass to A3
Do not commit too early into tackle and try to channel away from goals
Last 10 minutes play 6v6 on quarter pitch, focusing on 5 passes before being allowed to shoot.
