Objective - increase HR/muscle temp while working support angles/distances

  • 1) GK moves forward on angle to receive and bump back to S1
  • 2) GK then drops to create depth
  • 3) Receive with positive prep touch, and switch to S2
  • 4) Repeat for other side
Coaching Points
  • Look to receive in space/on angle to give yourself more time
  • We must create depth to maximize our time on the ball
  • Positive prep touch into space that sets up next action

Coaching Points
  • Long barrier/k scoop - compact body shape, hands in front, knee to heel, avoid dropping all the way to knee
  • Short, dynamic footwork
  • Maintain balance with short steps and use of bodyweight
  • Good handling habits on extension - positive angle, hands in front of body, fully extend (don't get elbow jammed)
