1. Yellow pays a ball across the grid to the white player.
2. White becomes the attacker, yellow the defender.
3. Whoever has the ball can score on either goal, therefore defenders can win the ball and score if they are able to.
4. In order to score, the player with the ball must be all the way over the red line in order for the goal to count. Once the ball crosses over the goal line, the scorer earns 1 pt for their team, and then it becomes a foot race the other way, and the first player to touch the opposite goal earns another point.
5. In order to score the point for touching the goal, the defender MUST have both feet over the red line before they run to the opposite goal. This will keep the defenders honest so they don't cheat and get a 10 yard head start.
6. After you go through 2 rotations for either team, switch sides so the defenders become the attackers and vice versa.
7. Once a defender gets beat, you will begin to notice that they will hover around the red line so they have both feet in the zone, but they will still have a significant head start over the attacker for the race to the opposite goal. The best way to get around this is to play another game and this time, make the goals worth 3 points and the race to touch the goal worth only 1. At this point, the defenders will need to make a tactical decision..."Do I give up 3 points to earn my team 1 and then try and get it back when we become attackers? Or do I fight to win the ball and try and earn all 4 points for my team?"
