Organisation / Area Size60m x 30m
Play 6v6 with 1 centre common player (in green) and 2 goalkeepers.
Play 4 x 3 minutes, with a 2-minute rest.
The centre-backs for both the blue and red teams are confined to the boxes as servers for the specific part of practice, while midfielders are free to roam around the field as the coach directs based on playing principles.
The same in possession tactic is being used by both teams, however only one team is being coached (team in possession) while the other is being managed (out of possession). The team with the ball must try to play through, around, or over the opposition's players in order to score by passing the ball into their #9. The team with possession can bounce the ball off of the common player, who is only allowed two touches. A team can go to a 1v1 against the goalkeeper after successfully passing the ball to the #9 position. A countdown to recreate the game controls this. Play then resumes once the goalkeeper passes the ball to the centre back.
Block 1: Coordinate the defence to defend the centre circle (which is small) and instruct the common player to play there. Work with the redteam in possession to improve how they manoeuvre around the defence (Terminal).
Block 2: Control the defenders to go toward the players in possession, mark tightly (this should help things open up a bit), and then locate the common player and consult with the MF3 on how to play through the lines. (Walkthrough)
Block 3: Control the reds to use either of the above mentioned (Concurrent).
