Playing Through the Midfield - Short Passing

Box P + R :
6 players per group, each group in a 10x10 area with 2 balls
2 players in the middle, 4 on the outside
Central players pass and receive then turn and repeate to opposite side, constant movement of feet and varying their touches and passes with all 5 surfaces of both feet
Each round is 60 seconds then players rotate
Players on the outside can move across their lines and play 1 touch
Progressions :
Must use different surface on each pass
Learning Objectives :
Short passing in tight areas under pressure with confidence
Coaching Points :
Open body position when possible
Receiving and protecting the ball (shielding, ball close to feet, away from pressure)
Surface selection (inside, outside, toe, heel and bottom of foot)
Disquise on the pass when possible

Box P + R :
6 players per group, each group in a 10x10 area with 1 ball
1 player in the middle, 5 on the outside (Passive defenders are B, Passers are A, Receiver is C)
Red Group :
Ball is passed in from A to C, C then pases to either B that is not applying pressure then moves to line as a B from which passive defender leaves. Passive defender moves to passing line (A) after applying pressure on C. Passer (A) becomes Receiver (C)
Blue Group :
Ball is passed in from A to C, C then turns and dribbles to he space/line vacated by the passing defender and passes ball back to Passing Line (A). Passive defender moves to passing line (A) after applying pressure on C. Passer (A) becomes Receiver (C)
Progressions :
Players use 1 touch to pass, and vary their turns while shielding the ball from the passive defender, using feints and various parts of their feet

Speed Possession Game :
2 teams playing 6v2 in 20x15yard areas each (2 teams of 8's)
Unlimited touches, 1st team of 6 to complete 30 passes wins (not in a row)
2 defenders try to win back possession and keep the ball as long as possible
When ball goes out, coach serves new ball to team of 6 asap

Small Sided Game :
4 teams of 4's, 2 teams playing 4v4, 2 teams resting
Field size - (30x30yards) with 2 large goals + GK's
Games are 3mins each OR 1st to 3 goals, winners stay on, if teams draw, they both leave the field

Physical Movement Warm-Ups :
Team works through each stage together (A, B & C)
6 cones are placed in a line 1-2 yards apart, Players switch sides at the end of each run/repetition
Stage A : (Straight Line)
Progressions include : forwards and backwards, Sideways, High Knees, Heel-kicks, Skipping
Stage B : (Shuffling)
Progressions include : Forwards shuffling, Backwards shuffling
Stage C : (Change of Direction)
Players are in 2 lines (Paired up) for a race. Both players infront of each line sprint to 2nd cone, back to 1st cone then race to the end of the cone line, and finally jog back. When 1st pair sprints past 3rd cone the next pair automatically start their race
Progressions include : always facing forwards (North), players begin facing each other
