Key Coaching Points
Shield the Ball
(1) Get body between opposition and ball.
(2) Turn to make self thicker to create a greater gap between defender and the ball.
(3) Bend knees and get low to be strong to hold off opposition.
Key Organization(1) Set-up the station before players arrive.
(2) Players will rotate through 4-stations. each station is 15-minutes including water breaks and explaining the activity.
(3) Show the players what we want them to do. Show players how we want them to be successful in the activity.

Organization: Coach passes the ball to space for one player. Shield the opposition to gain control and turn to dribble through either gate on the opposite side.
Objective: Manipulate the ball / disguise to create space to dribble into space.

Organization: Players must touch the cone before touching the ball. Players race to touch the cone then move to receive a pass. Coach passes the ball to space for one player. Shield the opposition to gain control and turn to score in the goal.
Objective: Manipulate the ball / disguise to create space to dribble into space.

Organization: Play a small-sided game. 3V3 or 4V4 depending on numbers. If a ball goes out of play grab the closest ball. Pass or dribble in from the sidelines.
Objective: Win the match.

Ball Manipulation (15 mins)
Organization: Players dribble, finding space, performing tasks commanded by the coach.
Objective: Players dynamic in movement, able to maintain possession of the ball, and recognize: space, opposition, teammates, ball.
Progression: (1) Throughout the duration of the activity include physical literacy movements (with or without the ball). Hops, skips,rolls, jumps, cuts, changes of direction and pace.
