Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Minibulls -Red Bull Pirates - Orientation (Start Time: 2019-08-20 12:25:00)

Burried Treasure (15 mins)

Organization:

1 ball per player

8 or more squares (2yds) ( islands) - 1 in each cornner - 1 middle - blue - random

Instructions:

Players (pirates) will ddribble ball to each box (island) to dig up burried treasure

Round 1 - Search for treasure (stop ball on each island

Round 2 - Look on each island (tick tock)

Round 3 - Dig up treasure ( toe taps)

Play each round 2 -3 times ( 45 seconds ) try to beat your own sacore

Coaching Points/Questions:

-Keep head up

- Use soul to stop

-Smaller touches in traffic

If the balls is rolling past the island what can you do to slow down?

What part of your foot can you use to stop the ball?

How can you tell what island is empty?

Regressions/Progressions:

Pr - More skills - step over, scissor bascis, rolls

Re- Add more islands

Re- Make islands bigger

CannonBall Run (15 mins)

Organization:

Players on endline

4 balls on each side

Instructions:

Pirates (players) try to cross the ocean without getting hit with a ball by the ghost pirate ( coach)

If they get hit ( sunk) they join the ghost pirate to help launch cannonballs

Last player letft wins

*Ball must be on the ground

Pr- Each pirate now has to sail their ship across ( dribble ball)

Coaching Points:

- Head up

- Small touches in traffic

-Shield your ball with body

-How can you trick the ghost pirate?

-Can you hide your ship from the ghost pirate?

Progressions:

Pr- Make the ocean smaller in width

Pr- Start with 2 Ghost players

Re- Make the ocean bigger
