Window Competition (15 mins)
Gate Passing -20 x 20
-Place about 8 gates(or mini goals) using cones and place them about 5 feet apart around the field.
All players need a partner and one ball. Demo the activity with a player from your group so that the players know what you expect.
-Start with each group of partners setting up across from each other like in Example 1 in the diagram. When the coach say's GO players have 1 minute to pass through as many gates as possible in one minute.
Switch Partners each round and players have to try to beat their previous score each time.
3-4 rounds. Everyone goes at the same time.
Coaching Points

-Communication is important-Work Together

Coach picks one player to start off with a ball and they are the Pacman. Coach demonstrates how to pass ball with the inside of the foot (Push pass). To start, everyone begins moving around inside the grid. The player or players with the ball must use the push pass technique to hit other players below the knees. If a player is hit then they become a Pacman also. They grab a ball and also try to hit players with the same technique. The game ends when one player is left and that player starts off as the Pacman for the next game.
Coaching Points:
- Turn foot outward
- Bend knees
- Lock ankle (squeeze)
- Look at target and then at ball to make contact

Activity is designed to create lots of turns as players try to score.
First Player in Line A passes the ball down to the first Player in Line B. Once he/she plays the ball they must run out and try to stop them from scoring into one of the two goals.
The first player in Line B who is recieving can attack either goal and will likely have to use their turns, shielding, and deception to score a point.
If the defender wins the ball they can score a point by passing it to the coach / or let them also score which helps teach transition from attack to defense or defense to attack. I usually start with a pass to the coach and then progress to each team being able to score.
Progression 1: Attacker can pass backwards to a player in their line if they struggle to beat defender and it becomes a 2v1.
Coaching Points:
-attack a goal but if defender closes you down then use turns and sheilding to attack other goal and maintain possession of the ball.
-If you loose it then try to get it back.
