Method: Dynamic Warmup - Dribble - Pass - Fast Feet - Volley - Move
20 x 20 Grid
Coaching Points:
15 minutes
A. 1 and 2 start at the same time.
B. 2 moves in and out the cones ladder and coach feeds player a left volley and right volley each side
C. 1 dribbles around the red cones and move to middle shaded area and leaves ball and proceeds towards corner 4 to receive the ball and pass as per diagram
D. 2 move to 3 in middle and collects the ball 1 left and passes to corner 5
E. 5 recieves the ball and does 1-2 with player and takes ball over to corner 1
F. Repeat

Method:Playing the ball out from the back
40 minutes
Coaching Points:
1. Walk the team through the demo of the play from from Goal keeper to CB to 6 or FB to MF 8 or 10
2. Let the team play for 5 minutes - no instructions
3. Begin to coach in a logical approach from Goalkeeper - to CBs and FBs - to MFs
4. Goalkeeper plays the ball left or right to the back foot of the player allowing forward progress on first touch. Good pace on the ball
5. Center backs 4 and 5 wide close to edge of box - open body shape
6. Full backs 2 and 3 stay high and wide to create space for 4 and 5
7. If 4 or 5 can move forward with the ball 6 should move to the opposite side of 4 or 5 moving out with the ball
8. Reds try and score in either of 2 orange coned goals
9. If Blue win the ball they try score on goal keeper
10. Restart with ball at goalkeeper feet - and positon reset to start

B. Fast feet through the ladder - encourage good form, arm movement
1. High knees 2. Strides 3. Butt kicks 4. Lateral movement swinging arms overhead 5. Low stance 2 to the left 2 to the right 6. Do 5 backwards 7. Walk out on tippy toes
8. Walk out on heals 9. Walk out with feet pointing in 10. Walk out with feet with feet pointing out 11. Skip 12. Skip with left knees to right elbow and reverse
13. Lateral movement left and lateral right 14. Finish with a few sprints in pairs out to the Blue Coach
