Analysis on the Opposition shows that when out of possession they occupy the central three channels of the pitch.
Full backs only go out and press the ball in wide areas as the ball is transferred and only in 1v1 situations, if not they will protect the central area of the pitch.
If a full back jumps out to a wide player then the remaining back three will shuffle across to cover the gaps and keep good distances between them.
Conditions: If ball is won back look to play forward quickly, trying to mini goals or the server as quickly as possible.
The far side full back should be no nearer than his side of the penalty area D.
When opposition win the ball they are to look to hit their wingers or 9 (mini goals) as quickly as possible.

Outcome 1: Headed Goal from 9.
Roles & Responsibilities:
If 10 is locked onto then look to stay out of the box to give more space to the 9 to finish, look to instead sit edge of the box.
If both 8s are locked onto then 10 becomes target for the cross in the box as 9 will have combined with the winger to allow the cross, this cross will come from the T zone area due to set from 9. Once 9 has played pass they should look to locate on edge of box.
Outcome 2: Driven Goal from 9.
Roles & Responsibilities:
If 10 is locked on to then look to stay out of the box to give more space to the 9 to finish, look to instead sit edge of the box.
If both 8s are locked onto then 10 becomes target for the cross in the box as 9 will have combined with the winger to allow the cross, this cross will come from the T zone area due to set from 9. Once 9 has played pass they should look to locate on edge of box.
Outcome 3: Goal from 10 outside the box.

What if: One of their 8s lock onto our 10.
If one of the opposition 8s look to lock onto our 10, then the following should happen.
As our 8 receives the ball the other CM (4) should look to drop deeper to provide an option to go out to the wide players.
Wide players should get onto the touch line to create big pockets for the 8s to play in and for the 10 to try and play.
Our ST should stay as high as possible and look to occupy a CB.

If the 8 that recieves the ball plays to the winger on his side in this instance LW.
When LW receives it, can they look to beat the FB if the ball beats the press, if so can they drive by line and look to put a cut back through the T-zone for the 9 to finish.
If the Winger beats the FB press, opposite winger to make a back post run in order to occupy both FB and CB.
9 to look to make a run that splits both CBs to finish.
10 to sit edge of the area for any spill out. Trying to free the 8 in the process.
Our 2 CMs (8&4) to lock the box off for any forms of counter attacks.

What if: Both of their 8s lock onto our 8s.
If both the opposition 8s lock onto our 8s in an attempt to stop the ball to be played centrally through the midfield then the following should happen:
Ball gets played from the server into one of the 8s, who bounces the ball back in, the server then looks to move the ball to a wide player who is hugging the touchline, by doing this they create the biggest amount of space for the 10 to play in.
Our 8s to lock the box.
As the ball is played in, the 9 looks to drift wide pulling a CB with him. The winger should look to combine with the 9 for the 9 to set them in on an overlapping run for the 7 to cross/cutback the ball through the T zone.
The 10 should look to make a run that splits the other CB from his pocket of space to receive the ball and score.
The other winger should look to make a far post run

If one of our CMs (4) receives the ball with an 8 from opposition locked on, then our other CM to pull into a half space channel and wingers to get wide to help.
CM to bounce in with feed player and look to try and spin 8 that is locked on. Bounce player to look to play wide player.
As Wide Player receives ball FB will go and press as 1v1, our 9 is to then go and make a run in the half space to receive the ball.
Opposite winger should look to get beyond his FB to look to make a back post run.
Once 9 has received the ball look to play a half-space pass between CB and FB for winger to run onto.
Our 10 at this point is looking to make a run into the box for when the winger crosses the ball.
Our CMs to lock the box out from any counter attacks.

Set up
Set Up:
Half pitch, with twq mini goals to replicate the LW and RW for the defending side. 1 server to start the drill. Drill to start on whistle.
Pitch tapered off the centre circle to allow for the drill to restart quicker and the defence to have more success when winning the ball back and finding the mini goals.
Coached side (Green) - Set up in a 1-4-2-3-1 - Positions in drill - 2 CMs (8&4), 1 CAM (10), 1 LW (11), 1 RW (7), 1 ST (9) - Total Players - 6
Roles/Responsibilities
7&11 - Look to get wide when the ball is played into the 8s, this stretches the pitch and creates bigger pockets for the 8s and 10s to play in. When receiving the ball look to either drive to the bye line hoping to beat full back press or go 1v1, or look to combine inside with 9&10 being conscious of the backwards option to maintain possession. But look to take risks to deliver crosses.
8&4 - Look to operate in pockets to receive the ball off the server and also off the 9&10, if the ball goes wide nearest to the ball looks to drop deeper to provide a backwards option to secure the ball, furthest 8 looks to find a pocket to allow play to come through him if needed. When the ball goes wide both look to lock the box.
10 - Look to find pockets of space between the midfield and defensive lines helping to link play when required. If the ball goes wide look to arrive into the box to finish.
9 - Look to stay high and occupy CBs, to allow 10 as much space as possible. If 8s haven't locked onto our CMs and ball goes wide look to get into the box to finish, if they have as the ball goes wide look to arrive in a half channel to combine with the winger to put them in for a cross/cutback.
Opposition side (Yellow) - Set up in a 1-4-2-3-1 - Positions in drill - 1 LB (3), 1 RB (2), 2 CBs (5&6), 2 CMs (4&8). Total Players - 1 GK + 6 Outfield
