Organization:
1.Two 20 x 10 yard areas, set up as shown
2.2 teams
3.1 ball per player
Instructions:
1.It’s a race between the mirror and the reflection to the other line
2.However each player must perform two turns before they cross the finish line
3.The mirror decides when and where they are going to turn
4.The ‘Reflection’ must turn at the same position
5.If the ‘Mirror’ wins the race they get 1 points and if the ‘reflection’ wins they get 2 points
Coaching Points:
1.Good first touch
2.Quality of the turn
3.Accelerate out of the turn
4.Use the defenders momentum against them – recognize when the defender ‘over commits’
Progression:
1.P – The ‘Reflection’ must copy the turns of the ‘Mirror’
2.P - Players must use both feet to turn

Organization:
1.25 x 10 yard area with a 5 x 10 yard central zone (action area), set up as shown
2.Players work in pairs
3.1 ball per player
Instructions:
1.Player are paired and assigned the role of attacker or defender
2.The attacker must dribble the ball out to the central zone (action area) and make the decision to beat the defend over the end line or turn and beat them back to the starting line
3.The defender must attempt to beat over the line they choose
4.The attacker can make multiple turns in the central zone to fool the defender but once they leave the central zone must commit to an end line
Coaching Points:
1.Positive first touch to get to the marker quickly
2.Contact on the ball
3.Get low to create a platform to accelerate from
4.Take the ball away with nearest part of the foot to get away quickly
5.Head up for next action
Progressions:
P – Remove the ball from the defender and allow them to win the ball in the central zone

1. 40 x 40 yard area set up as shown
2. 12 players (6 Attackers,6 Defenders) set up as shown
3. 1 ball (A dditional around the outside
Instructions:
1. Team s attem pt to score in one of their tw o designated goals
2. One team attempts to score in goals labeled (A) and the other in the goals labeled (B)
3. If the ball leaves the area the game is restarted w ith a kick-in
4. Play for a set time period
Coaching Points:
1. Controlled approach
2. A ppropriate turn to protect or change direction
3. Bend the knees to create a platform to accelerate
4. Turn into space
5. Take away with the nearest foot and surface
6. Head up after turning for next action
Progressions:
1. P – Add goalkeepers
2. R – Reduce the number of players to 3 vs. 3 or 4 vs. 4

10-12 players (8 attackers & 2 defenders pictured)
1 ball per attacker (additional around the outside)
Activity
- Atackers have to dribble their ball & stay away from the defenders who have pinnies in their hands
- Defenders have to tag the attackers with the pinnie
- If an attacker gets tagged, they then take the pinnie
- If attackers dribble outside the square they are automatically given the pinnie
- Players are not allowed to tag the player that just tagged them. Play for a set time limit
Progressions
1. Add more players with pinnies to start
2. All players including the defenders have a ball each
Coaching Points
- Appropriate turn to protect or change direction
- Bend the knees to create a platform to accelerate
- Use upper body to disguise & deceive defender
- Turn into space & away from pressure
- Awareness of Space & Surroundings
