Punching Techniques

Partner up * 1 ball per group *
1) 2-fisted juggling with your partner (50 touches) Foucus on hitting the ball from chest, up.
* Foucus on making the ball go up to your partner and keep it going as long as you can.
2). Must juggle it yourself at least 3 times before passing it across to your partner, Partner must juggle at least 3 times before they pass it back to you. (30 touches)

3 gks per group (4 if the numbers are odd) Rotate in
Short-Short-Long punching drill
Set up in a straight line. Green gk has ball in hand
1. Green Gk Throws to Navy gk
2. Navy GK punches it back to middle
3. Green GK punches short to Navy gk
4. Navy gk plays it long to red gk.
5. Red gk plays short to green gk and repeat the process

Groups of 4.
Blue cones 30 yards apart
Red cones 5 yards apart
1. Navy GKs - Up/Down, run to Red server and 2 handed punch back to him for accuracy
2. Run back to Red cone on opposite side. Perform up/down and punch with other server.
3. Repeat each side 3 times and rotate
Part II
1. GK will lay down like they dove, get up and go to server (get about 6 yards away)
2. Red server lobs it in the air and Navy GK must juggle it 3 times to theirself and punch back
3. Go to other side and perform the task again.
4. Repeat 3 times each side (6 total) and switch
Part III
1. Same set up however, Red Server will throw at hip/knee hieght to force the gk to dive forward and 2-handed punch it back to the server
2. Go to opposite side and perform the diving punch. 3 times each sides.
Warm up Punching
Punching warm up - Technique
1. Punching overhead Left and Right hand (30 each hand) 14 & up 50 touches
2. Punching overhead 2-fisted (30 touches) 14 & up 50 touches
3. Left punch/Right punch/both punch (all 3 =1 touch. 20 touches) 14 & up 30 touches
4. Short, Short, Higher (all 3 = 1 touch. 20 touches) 14 & up 30 touches
