Theme
shape
Principles
(1) dispersal (2) mobility (3) penetration
Amount of Area
1/4 field
No. of Players
12 players
Key Words/Phrase
(1) shape - players move into their positions relevant to where the ball is and where the opposition are
(2) angles - movement to find and angle that creates no defender between receiving players feet and the ball
(3) body shape - when your teammate has the ball are you able to see the ball and three corners of the space
(4) scan - look away from the ball to gather information, where are / is: teammates, opposition, space, threats, opportunities
(5) back foot - receive a pass with your body facing where the ball came from and where you want play next, receive with your foot closest to where you want to play next
Guided Questions
(1) when do we establish shape
(2) when do we make the space big
(3) when do we move closer to our teammates with the ball
(4) how big do we want the field to be
(5) when do we move away from our teammate with the ball
Learning Outcomes
(1) create diamond and triangles - teammates with the ball has multiple options to pass to
(2) angle of support - no defender between receiving players feet and the ball
(3) distance of support - need to be closer to teammate with the ball if defender (pressure) if closer
(4) quality of first touch - sets-up players next action
(5) quality of pass - teammate is able to set-up their next action / pass to back foot is teammate is not under pressure
(6) communication - provide information to teammate on for what to do when they receive the ball
(7) what to do when we lose the ball - apply pressure immediately

Organization
3v1 rondo. Keep away from the one defender. Team in possession keep track of number of consecutive passes in one minute. Change the defender after one minute. If the defender wins the ball and dribbles out of the square they can change earlier.
Objective
Players create triangles as a the opposition, ball, and teammates move.
Key Points
(1) Open body shape - when your teammate has the ball are you able to see the ball and three corners of the space
(2) Angle of support - no defender between receiving players feet and the ball
(3) Distance of support - need to be closer to teammate with the ball if defender (pressure) if closer

Organization
Worker strikes the ball to opposite target. Can the target set the ball for workers next pass in one touch. Worker must sprint after striking the ball. Rotate every 30 seconds.
Objective
Players strike the ball will pace and accuracy.
Key Points
(1) Eyes on ball while striking - look at target moving towards the ball and eyes focused on the ball while striking
(2) Laces or inside of the foot - part of the foot striking
(3) Accuracy over power - ensure the pass gets to its target

Organization
2v2+2. Move the ball from target to opposite target. If ball is lost, win the ball back from opposition and prevent from playing from target to target. Targets can only receive through gates. Keep track of points, each time a team can receive from a target and pass to another target they get a point. Most points of after 2-minutes wins. Rotate targets into the game.
Objective
Players create triangles and diamonds.
Key Points
(1) Open body shape - when your teammate has the ball are you able to see the ball and three corners of the space
(2) Angle of support - no defender between receiving players feet and the ball

Organization
6v6. Pass or dribble in from sides.
Objective

Key Points
(1) Open body shape - when your teammate has the ball are you able to see the ball and three corners of the space
(2) Angle of support - no defender between receiving players feet and the ball

Field Layout
Organization
Green = final game
Red = Opposed
Place rondo and technique inside the opposed activity and pick up cones when done to reveal the opposed field space. Pick up the opposed field space to reveal the final game field space.
Key Points
(1) Lay each component to allow quick transitions between activities
(2) Use specific cone color for each activity
