Set Up:
Grid 25x30
5 players on the outside, 3 players on the inside, 1 target player
Rules:
Games will go for two minutes, the rotate defenders and target player
Objective of the game is to sucessfully find the target player and pass it out of grid to score a point
If defensive team steals ball, attempt to pass and dribble outside of the box to recieve a piont
Progression:
Playing ball to other side in the air with control will also earn a point
If they are doing well, limit it to two touches
Coaching Points:
Find the "right" pass, not the first pass (describe what that means)
Keep the ball moving
Target player needs to find the perfect time to check in, should be creating "dead space"

Guided Discovery Questions:
What do I mean about the "right pass"?
If the defense is set up properly, what can we do to set them off balance, or make them re-adjust?
How can out teamates help us speed up our play?
Similar to last drill, how many options should we have at all times, if their are triangles all of the field?
Goal of the Activity:
To not force the play and to switch the point of attack.

Set Up:
40x30 (smaller zones 5 yards)
4v4 + 1
Game will be 5 minutes
Rules:
To score a point, the team in possession must play the ball to a player in the zone through one of the gates.
If they keep the ball and successfully do it on the other side as well, they recieve 3 points total.
If they came from one side, they have to go to the other side, this makes it directional.
Progression:
Ball can be played in the air and trapped to earn a poin as well, ignoring the gates
Coaching Points:
Finding the "right" pass
Running off of the ball
Give your teamates an option for a pass
Checkin in/out to create space for yourself, or open space for others
Open your body to the play, give yourself more options

How can you move, and adjust your body to give yourself more options?
How can you show your teamates you want to recieve the ball?

3 Cones 10-15 yards apart
Player at each cone (extra player where ball starts)

After they do that sequence in both directions, coach will switch up passing pattern
