TIGHT POSSESSION GAME
Set Up the area as seen above.
The team in possession passes the ball to one end (Goalkeeper) to score a goal. If this is successfully done, the team in possession maintains the ball and works the ball in the other direction to the Goalkeeper at the other end of the area. The team keeps the ball until the opposition wins the ball or it goes out of play (replicating a game situation).
Players must keep the ball below 'head height' to encourage combination play in tight areas.
Concentrating on the player's technique, use passes with good weight, accuracy, disguise and timing to find teammates and play forward, with an emphasis on taking care of the ball as a team.
To improve attacking play, encourage players to find space that is available whilst encouraging rotations, switches and movements to create space for themselves and their teammates.
Considering the quality of passes and movement, players need to identify when to play one touch or two touches to move the opposition and take advantage of the space whilst making intelligent decisions on, around and away from the ball.
PROGRESSION
Restrict the game to 'two-touch'.
Allow players to have as many touches as they need with an emphasis on not taking an extra touch if needed.

TIGHT POSSESSION GAME
Set up the area as seen above in the image, with an 6V6+1 game (including Goalkeepers)
In each teams defending zone, it is a 4v2 (3v2 outfield players) and in the attacking zone 2v4 (2v3 outfield players). There is one neutral player (joker) in the middle channel (5x5) that cannot leave this area. Defenders or attackers cannot move from their own designated area.
Players can shoot from anywhere but are encouraged to play to the joker (spare player).
Standard game rules apply, however, offside is given to the benefit of the attacking team by the coach.

TECHNICAL PASSING
Set up a 20x20 square which is sub-divided into 4 10x10 squares with 2 players inside each smaller square and 2 players on each corner.
Start with the balls evenly distributed on opposite corners of the square.
Players play different combinations in 4 different areas using quick combinations to pass it around their space and then into the next grid. The play from box to box can move clockwise or counter clockwise.
The player who passes the ball leaves the grid but doesn't follow their pass to another grid. They go to the back of the line on the cornder of their own grid.
(1) Player on outside plays ball into grid 2nd palyer lays ball to 3rd player on passes oout to opposite grid.
(2) Player on outside plays ball into 2nd player who combines with 3rd player with a wall pass then plays out to opposite grid
(3) 2nd player starts deep on cue goes short to outside player plays a wall pass. Outside player then plays pass to 3rd player who plays to opposite grid
(4) Player on outside plays 2 2nd player who plays to opposite grid Opposite player plays back into grid to 3rd player who plays it to opposite grid.
When passing the ball, players must use short and sharp combinations (preferably 1 touch) focusing on accuracy and weight of pass to move the ball.
When receiving the ball, players need to focus on their body shape with their shoulders and hips being open and side on so that they can combine quickly.
Players should use creative movement to get into areas to receive the ball that make use of the whole area and which replicates playing on different lines in a game.
