Technique
Objective: Side step dribbling
Area: 10x10 grid.
Equipment 8 markers, 2 cones, 1 ball each
Time: 20 mins
Organisation:
Player will start to dribbling to Point A with as many touch as possible. On the diagonal movement to the centre, he do the side step dribbling.
Coaching Points:
AWARENESS
- Look to the sides and the back for opponent
WHERE TO CONTROL THE BALL
- Keep the ball away from the opponent
- Infront of you so that you are in control
- Keep ody sideways
HOW TO CONTROL
- Drag the ball using the sole of the feet.
- Keep body sidewards
As you drag the ball, cross the leg and continue movement for easier balance.
- Use the arm to protect

Objective: 1v1 duel - Decision making
Area: 20x20
Equipment: 4 cones, 6 markers, supply of balls
Time: 20 mins
Organisation:
Defender will start by passing the ball to the attacker who will try to run with the ball into the gates as shown. If the defender close him down, and force him close to the outline, he will use the sidestep dribbling.

Area: Full court.
Equipment: Supply of ball
Time: 20 mins
Organisation:
Player have to use only sideways dribbling if they are at the side. They are encourage to learn how to shield the ball while dribbling sideways.
Normal game for the last 5 minutes.
