Change of Direction & Speed (5 mins)
Changing Direction & Speed
Player starts in one corner and dribbles to the opposite corner as fast as possible. Then goes around the cone using the outside of the left foot. Proceeds to speed along the side of the square to the next corner where he/she agin uses the outside of the left foot to go around the cone. Speeds up diagonally to the opposite corner to repeat the process on the other side of the square. After completeing one revolution around the square, he/she repeats the movements and runs using the outside of the right foot. This exercise can be done with four players one on each corner starting all simultaneouly.
This drill emphasizes change of direction, ball control, change of speed and using the outside of both feet to control the ball.
