Technical Gates
Set up: 40x30 grid with 8-10 2yd gates. Each player with a ball.
Procedure:
1. Players dribble around grid looking to dribble through a gate. At each gate perform coaches choice of ball manipulation.
2. Competition - first to 10 gates.
3. Pair players up. 1 player becomes the attacker and the other the defender. Players compete for 1-2 minutes to score points by dribbling through gates.
Progressions:
1. Pairs now work together to pass through the gates. (Right foot, left foot)
2. Compete - 10 passes to win.
Coaching Points:
Close control vs dribbling in space, quality of first touch and pass, communication, heads up play, body shape upon receiving, early decision making, speed of play.

4v4+4 to gates
Set up: Same as before. 3 teams of 4.
Procedure:
1. 4v4 with 4 neutral players on the outside.
2. First team to 25 points wins the match. Rotate teams.

6v6 Corner Game
Set Up - 1/2 field with two goals.
Procedure:
1. Every ball out of play results in a corner kick.
Coaching points:

2 Line Passing
Set up: 2 lines of equal players, 20 yards apart (adjust for group)
Procedure:
1. First player in line passes to the first person in the opposite line.
2. Second player in line makes a bent run wide while the third player plays them a leading pass.
3. Player 2 plays to opposite line and the pattern continues.
Progressions:
Other way for the other foot.
Player 3 comes out and completes a wall pass with player 2.
Coaching Points:
Quality of first touch and pass, communication, heads up play, body shape upon receiving, quality of forward run.
