Setup: 15 x 20 or little larger
Game: Rondo style game that creates a 1v1 scenario for the middle player. All players on the outside must play a 1 touch pass to the middle player whenever they receive a pass. The middle attacking player then must beat the defender 1v1 to transfer the ball to the other half via dribble. Once entering that half they can then pass to an outside player of their color and get ready to receive back. Play 1 min sessions and then switch out the middle player. No one can defend on the outside; they must stay in their area between two cones (they move back and forth between the two nearest cones). Out of bounds = change of possession
Scoring: Each player in the middle gets a pt for each successful reception and transition across the mid line. After all sessions who won as a team (red or blue)
Coaching:
- Which foot should you target? How do I get it there?
- Can the middle player position themselves each time to get an edge on the defender? Don't always be backwards or stationary.
- Use feints and fakes. Be Deceptive.
- Attack with speed when available.
- Do not preplan. Read the defender.
- ON defense. How do you prevent the attack from happening? Can you force backwards or out of bounds?

Setup: 30 x 40 yd (split into 10yd grids)
Game: Keep possession of the ball with dribble and pass. Every player that receives a pass must dribble into an adjacent square before passing the ball again. Attempt to keep the ball by shielding, attacking 1v1, or turning.
Scoring: 5 passes without losing ball = 1pt.
Coaching pts:
- play to correct foot
- set up man on reception of the ball
- fake small, go big for the attack
- turn back to defender for shield, use body to keep man off the ball
- Can you time your run to fool man guarding you? Can you receive in space to create more time?
- Be Deceptive

Setup: Two 18 boxes back to back. Two big goals, and two small pug goals (facing towards A). Three starting players at A, B, and C.
Game: A takes a touch into cone box in front of them, and they shoot at nearest pug goal. If they make shot, they take ball on corner of their box and dribble between small goals to shoot on larger goals. If A makes shot, player at B runs around the nearest pug goal to then go defend A before A can shoot.
If A misses the pug, B will receive a pass from C and take off towards the goal near A. A will then run around pug and attempt to defend B. Rotate teams after 3 rotations through line.
Scoring: Goals Scored = 1. Successful controlled tackle = 1
