Organization:
- Players split into pairs with one ball per pair
- A cone gate 2 yards wide, players are on either end of the gate, distance adjusted as needed
Instructions:
- Players competing against each other, trying to pass the ball to their partner by passing through the gate
- 1 point is scored for every successful pass through the gate
- Tournament style, winners move up, those who lost move down
Coaching Points:
- Non-kicking foot on the side of the ball pointing at the target
- Head up to observe target, then eyes on the ball when passing
- Strike through the middle of the ball and follow through the pass
- Weight and accuracy, how do we improve it

Organization:
- Same setup as before
Instructions:
- Players inside the triangles don't have a ball, players outside the triangle are finding an open teammate and passing them the ball
- Players then switch roles as the player receiving the pass moves out of the triangle and the passer moves inside.
- Players get a point for every pass
- Can progress into adding defenders

- What foot to receive on if we want to change direction? Why?
- Proper passing technique
- Head up to find open space and open teammates
- Receiving on back foot to change direction when receiving in triangle
- Big touch into space when receiving the ball
- When to keep the ball close and when to dribble into space
- Inside of the foot pass

Organization:
- Field size adjusted as needed
- A five yard end zone at both ends of the field
- Teams of 4 with one player acting as a joker in the end zone
Instructions:
- Teams are trying to play the ball into their target in the end-zone
- If a team plays the ball to their target, they receive the ball again and now play the other way to the opposite target, continuing the game
- End zone is only for our jokers
- Switch jokers periodically

Dribbling Warm-Up (10 mins)
Organization:
-Every Player with ball in 20x30 grid
Instructions:
STEP I:
-Players dribble using Messi touches and Ronaldo touches, choosing the correct time for each, ie close spaces using messi touches, open space using ronaldo touches.
-After a few minutes, a challenge is introduced. Players now race to 50+ touches using Messi, Ronaldo, or a combination of the two.
STEP II.
-Players dribble throughout area using any part of foot and wait for different commands
1) Change - Players leave their ball and find a new one to dribble with
2) Out - Players dribble as quickly as they can to the edge of the field
3) In - Players dribble as quickly as they can around the coach, keeping close control of the ball
Coaching Points:
-Head up to see available space
-Keep the ball close when in crowded areas (can you take a touch every step you take)
-If a player sees a good area of space, then they can take bigger touch/accelerate into it
-Use correct dribbling technique (pinky toe touches, knee over ball)
Progressions:
-If players lose the ball outside of the area, or hit another player/ball they lose 10 points in the race to 50.
