Skill practice- Breaking lines
Players split between each 3rd. Middle 3rd is the defensive zone. All players locked into position in their zone.
Objective is for attackers (Reds) to combine and get the ball from one end of the pitch to the other by using firm and precise passes. Defenders (Blues) must attempt to cut passing lanes between attackers in order to apply pressure to the attackers passing technique.
Challenge- Can attackers play off 2 touches to increase the speed
Progression- defenders can now move out of the middle 3rd to apply further pressure
Progression- Add a defender to increase difficulty
Progression- Attackers must add a finish at the end of the move, coach then feeds a ball in to begin the drill again

5V5+1 (Depending on numbers)
First 5 minutes- 1 neutral defender fixed into middle zone to increase difficulty of playing through the middle. Ball is turned over if they win possession.
Next 5 minutes- Goals are worth double if ball goes from defensive 3rd to attacking 3rd with a line breaking pass
Last 5 minutes- Free play, neutral player no longer fixed
