Hockey Session Plan Drill (Colour): Station 1 & 2

Station 1 & 2

Elimination Station 1 Focus: Left to Right pull & spin

P1 carries ball to cone and pulls ball left to right (towards right foot and not forward)

P2 leads infront of tyre, P1 passes to P2 who does a spin (strong side turn) around tyre

Once P1 & P2 are passed the tyre, D1 is activated and we have a 2v1 game where 2 try score past D1 using passes and elimination. D1 uses tackling skills.

Everyone has a turn to defend and attack

Elimination Station 2 Focus: V-drag and 3D lift

P1 carries ball to cone and double V-drags to end up in front of tyre

P2 waits behind tyre, P1 pops ball through tyre to P2

Once P1 & P2 are passed the tyre, D1 is activated and we have a 2v1 game where 2 try score past D1 using passes and elimination. D1 uses tackling skills.

Everyone has a turn to defend and attack

Station 3 & 4

Elimination Station 3: Pulls

P1 carries ball to passive d1 and pulls left to right to eliminate

Then carries to P2 and pulls right to left to activate

Both Ps turn around and try to score past D1 & D2 in 2v2

Ball must be dribbled through goals and Ds can counter through opposite goal

Elimination Station 4: Dummy

Same set-up as Station 3 but "lollipop" dummies used instead of pulls
