This session we will focus on the characteristics and attributes of the number 10 and how they create & penetrate from deeper areas and the tools they require to be effective.
Please review all details in the session plan criteria there is a lot of changes and you will need to familiarise your self in order to give the session the best outcome
Coaching expectations this season:
All sessions this season are catering for multiple age groups they contain coaching points, levels & progressions it's up to you as the coach to set aside and plan for the ones you want to work on specifically with your groups
Coaches should be identifying the below criteria in the session and breaking it down using the pillars of the game making sure you're ticking all boxes.
Below are some suggestions of what to consider when catering the sessions for your groups
Technical: what attribute or team concept you are asking the players to learn & How it's taught & performed breaking it down for the players
Tactical: Who the positions or player that it relates to,Where & When to use the attribute or team concept, this could be a moment or relate to a third of the field/area, or a visual or audio trigger. Why we use this attribute or team concept. this should emphasise the decision making process & reason behind the choices to answer questions the game asks of the players
Physical: Correct Motor Skill development for your specific to topic and age, Relation of movement to topic, Work to rest ratio of your activities, energy and tempo of your session,pushing the boundaries on physical goals for the group and individuals.
Physiological: having competition through the stages of the session,goal setting what you want to achieve with the group what do they want to achieve as players. setting a standard of practice throughout with a high level of expectation
Social:The environment you create for your players, promoting leadership and teamwork,establish a greeting and level of respect with your player's ,Engagement with the players both assertive & helpful with a little added banter.

Instructions
scenario/atribute #10 penetrating from angled runs trying to draw the defender out away from goal in order to create gaps of penetration.
-both teams will attack and defend
- team A will have a defender protecting the goal in front of them while the opposite team B will try to attack their goal getting behind the yellow line to score ,defender must start in front of the yellow line.
-once the opposite team B score or the play breaks down they The player from B who was attacking will now make a recovery run and become the defender protecting their goal from the A teams next attacker in line.
-If the defender steels they will transition to the blue box and play will reset allowing the defender to get back in front of their goal before play starts again.

-attack defenders front foot to unballance (back side)
-recognise space beyond & away from the pressure

Progressions
-Play 2v2 to goal #9-#10 ,1 team will protect both goals and the other will be attacking switch roles after 2 minute rounds
-#9 to stay high inline of last defender and check in or run in behind
-#10 to run from deep driving in at angles looking to create room for penetration.

Organization:
field size (20x15 4v4) 25x30 (5v5) if space avalable
2 pugs per field
Instructions
-each age group will combine to make teams of 4v4 or 5v5, no GK
-the teams will compete in a round robin tournament
-3 points for a win 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss
Instructions:
- Players split up into 3-4 teams and play a round robin tournament where all teams play.
- players must not step inside the red cone areas in front of goal this will stop goaltending ,the players must shoot from outside the area
Coaching Points:
1. 3 lines of attack, defense, midfield,Forward
2.Team mates create gaps, can player in possession look to dribble into them

WS Restarts week 2
-This week we will focus on kick off from the center teaching the players to take it efficiently with two players in the middle one player touches the ball to the other then play goes live.
WS Principle of Play Week 2
-This week we will focus on individual penetration reinforcing the characteristics from the earlier scenarios in the session #10

Instructions
Scenario/Atribute -#10 receiving the ball in deep areas around the edge of the Box driving in with pace and trickery to create space for goal scoring opportunities with a mentality of shoot on site.
Part 1 Repetitions
-players will split up into small groups on opposite sides off the channel
-the players will dribble towards each other perform a move Coaches choice and accelerate to the end rotating to the back of the opposite line,
-once they reach the back of the line the next 2 will go.
competition
-have the two groups from both channels race to see who can get all their players through the reps one complete time and back to where they stayed on the correct side of the grid the team who has all players back to their original spot will win 5 points
Part 2 1v1 fully opposed
-players will go 1v1 to goal
-the first player will be a defender protecting the goal
-after the attackers first touch the play is live and the attacker must beat the defender to score for a point
- if the defender steels they will transition through the blue gate the attacker will then become the defender for the next round.
