9v9 breaking lines ssg (20 mins)
Key Factors
- 9v9 breaking lines
- both teams playing with 1 - 4 -3 - 3 with full backs removed
block 1 - 6 min with 1.30 rest
players must remain in zones and look to play through the zones by playing through around or over. both teams can attack and defend depending on which team is in possession.
defensive teams should defend central areas and try force play wide and backwards.
block 2 - 6 mins with 1.30 rest
question 1: can attacking team create a central overload?
when in possession 1 player from the attacking team can now drop into middle 3rd from the final 3rd to create overload and offer a spare man option
defensive teams should defend central areas and try force play wide and backwards. and try to stop the ball finding the spare man in a central area
block 3 - 6 mins with 1.30 rest
more players can enter zones from any team but teams must have at least 1 player in each 3rd.
question2: what if 1 defender follows the attacker dropping into the central zone?
can attacking team play to attackers feet receive the ball back and that play behind or around to create a 2 v1 in final 3rd. in club principle (up, back and through)
goals are scored in the usual way in the big central goal.
