1v1 - Warm Up (10 mins)

Warm Up - 1v1's

2 players in the area at one time.

- Coach plays the ball to player 1

- Player 1 must try and take on player 2 and get across the blue line

- Player 2 must try and defend and stop player 1 crossing the line

Player 1 becomes player 2 and player 3 becomes player 1... Player 2 rests as player 3.

The balls are always played from the coach.

Fitness - Control (15 mins)

Fitness/Control

1. 2 players on either end of line has a ball each (Rest Period)

2. 1 player working in the middle

3. The player working in the middle, needs to run between the cones

4. Players on either end delivers the ball to the middle runner (Pass, throw etc)

5. The middle player is working in 1 minute periods

6. Rotate the player after the 1 minute

Dribble & Run with Ball (10 mins)

Dribble/Run with ball/ Control

1. Set out as diagram - 15 yard gap between collection of cones. 5 yard gap between final cone (player stands) and collection of cones.

2. 2 players always start in the same place, with the remaining player on the opposite side.

3. First player dribbles through collection of cones and runs with ball to the second set of cones.

4. After exiting the second collection of cones, pass to the waiting player, and run to the cone to the side to carry out a lay off for the next player to take their turn.

5. The next player then repeats the same process.

Passing & Dribbling (15 mins)

Dribble & Short Passing

1. Player 1 starts with the ball and dribbles to the spare cone

2. Player 1 then passes across the area to player 2

3. Player 2 then dribbles to the spare cone and passes across the area to player 3

4. Player 3 then dribbles to the spare cone and passes across the area to player 1.. this process repeats.

Progression

- Make the area larger so that they can develop running with the ball and long passes.

Wembley Singles (15 mins)

Wembley Singles

1. Each player has their own allocated goal to score in

2. If the player scores 3 in their allocated goal, they go through to the final and leave the game

3. THe first two player to score 3 in their allocated goal play in a final.

Conditions

- If one player beats a player 1v1 and scores - their goal can count for 2

- If they score with a skill - their goal can count for 2

- If the goal is scored following a megs, immediately through to the final.
