Set up 2 x 7v7 sixed pitches for end of the session

set up 2 x 20 yard boxes for ball mastery with man or large cone at centre.

Ball Mastery (15 mins)

Organisation:

using pre set up ball mastery boxes, position players at corner of each box, Players dribble ball in and change direction using skill, then pass to player in next corner.

Players to shout out Skills, all to repeat for 2 / 3 turns, then request another shout out skill.

Coaching Point: Can the players name a famous footballer know for that skill? use for engagement and enthusiasm.

Defend vs Attack (45 mins)

Organisation:


Move goals in to create 40 x 30 pitch

Red defender with ball starts play by passing ball to opposing player, once ball is touched defender is in play. Red player to attack goal, cannot shoot until passed defending player.

Once ball is dead, Blue player initiates pass from defender to attacker and repeats.

increase intensity & defending shape buy attacking player becoming defending player once shot is released, coach to pass in ball
