THE SESSION: Technical/Pattern play/Crossing and Finishing/Combination Play
This is a continuous wave practice and have activity going one side after the other.
1 passes-2 passess to 3 and so on -3-4-5 with player 1 making an over lap run with player 3 checking in for the ball to create space for player 1. Player 3 and 4 go on to goal to receive cross and finish at the end. Add defenders as training progresses. Looking at combinations with movement to make good runs in behind and then focus on crossing technique and quality of finishing.
Progressions-
Add defenders, add recovery defender, different patterns that focus on central channel and wide channel

THE SESSION:
Objective: Get Open to Deliver Pass, Crossing and Finshing
Organization:
7v7+4 (serving as 2/3 and 7/11). When defending, the last line must be above the
offside line to create space in behind. Once the ball has passed, the defenders may drop.
Defenders may not defend in wide areas. The neutral players can only play to each other one time,
unless it’s a pass to overlap and cross.
Score from wide area = 2 pts.
Score from central area = 1 pt
Score from wide area in one touch = 3 pts.
Coaching points: same as previous exercises
PROGRESSIONS-
Change point system for adding combination play centrally, types of runs or movements. Add incentives for types of runs, overlaps, underlaps, combination play, types of service etc.. to add to game

KEY MESSAGES/POINTS:
1. Can players establish eye contact to help coordinate actions and help disguise intentions with run or ball.
2. Can advancing run be well timed in order to get unmarked from opponent and advance with space and time.
3. Can run be well-timed to beat offside trap
4. Can pass be well weighted into advancing run after combination
5. What verbal and visual cues can be made to SPA, look for combination play, diguise intentions
6. Coordinated runs,can advanced attacker make a convincing and selfess decoy run to drag away a defender

THE SESSION: Combination play/Combination of action in 1/3, 2nd line runs to destabalize
Organization-
3 zones, 2 outer zones 15 x 40 and middle zone is 30x40
5 yellows vs 5 reds with 5 blue nuetrals, set up 2 goals/wondows on each end with 8 total red cones/4 each side.
Objectiive-
Can players in possession in attacking 1/3 look to combine using bumpers to advance either from a pass combination into space to run behind the line or dribble to advnace. Can players look to advance on the dribble, SPA or advance breaking the line with a pass and look to get inbehind with advancing runs, details of getting unmarked, weighted pass or dribble recognzing numerical superiouty through combination play.
PROGRESSIONS:
2nd rule would be that players can now dribble through window in order to score 1 point. 3 points for advancing behind the line from bumper into third man run. 1 defender can recover as the game progress.
