Arrival Activity/Warm Up (10 mins)

Session Title: In the city (Cars)

Key Coaching Points:

1. Awareness of other players

2. Different parts of the foot to kick the ball

3. Change of direction when kicking the ball

Area Size: 30by40

Equipment Needed: Flat cones, cones, bibs, balls, mini goals

Number of Players: 6

Warm Up Set Up: 

-Create a square using the small cones and at the corner of the square use big cones another square.

- Players will be drivers and will drive around in the (red square) parking lot and listen and look up at the traffic light.

Red- stop , Green- go, Orange- rev the engine ( roll the ball back and forth)

- The blue square will be the garage, the garage is where the drivers come to change the cars or get an upgrade. 

Potential Regression or  Progression

- Change orange traffic light to a turn, when they are driving their cars when its orange they have to make a turn(change direction)

- Add some medium cones(these will be the buildings) players run and try not to bump the buildings 

-Introduction of the ball

Screen 3 Opposed (15 mins)

Set Up: Race day (Practice)

- Use medium blue cones as the starting point, make a straight line using the small cones as the lane they have to stay in. players will be put into pairs. 

- They have to drive their car to the last cone and make a turn and drive back to the blue cone

- When they get back their team mate can go 

Coaching Points Introduction 

- Small touches 

- Turning using the inside or sole of the foot

- Head up 

Potential Regression or Progression 

- Make the lanes smaller by reducing the number of small cones 

- Add another Grand Pixie race ( Make a oval shape using the small cones, players will be split into two teams they will be positioned opposite each other and they have to drive the cars to the finish line)
