Situation 4v2.
Empasis on the GK (1), CB (4/5) and CM (6).
GK puts the ball down for goal kick. Trigger point for blue team to open up wide to edge of box to try and recieve the ball. CM drops edge of box and creates angle to recieve. Red team go through obstacle then come into play to win the ball back. Aim is for the CB and CM to get used to creating an angle to recieve the ball and make the correct decision depending on the situation. Encourage the GK to step into the play to be a recycle pass.
Emphasis on angles, movement, scanning the field, desicion making. When is the right time to play the CM? When is it the right time to give the ball back to the GK? Why would i move forward with the ball and when?

SSG
Primary players - GK (1), CB (4/5), CM (6), LM/RM (7/11)
Field is split into 3 sections. Idea of playing out the back and creating the correct passing channels. Wide players must stay in the wide zones, no one else can go in. Can the CB/CM create an angle in space when the RM/LM recieves the ball? Can the GK step up and create an angle to recieve the ball and recycle the play when under pressure? Encourage players to be positive and make the field as wide as possible. RM/LM can not just stand static once a pass has been made, they must find an angle to recive from the player to help them out, getting out of the shadow of the defensive player.

SAQ (30 mins)
Co-ordinational.
Phase 1 - Basic movement and passing combination. Emphasis on players checking shoulders before moving, recieving the ball correctly and playing a pass using the correct technique. Questions asked. Why do we move this specific way? Why do you need to check the shoulders? Why do you need to create an angle from the cone (defender)? Why do we need to use the correct style of pass?
Phase 2 - Adding in an give and go, getting players used to combinating simply. Why are we giving and going? What type of angle do we need to create now? How will this help us?
