Coach (C) plays the ball into the Attacker (A). (A) must check to the ball and take a touch before scoring in either goal. Once the ball is played in, the Defender (D) is live and can win the ball.
Attacker-
** Check to the ball.
** Take a touch to control the ball.
** Perform cut to avoid the defender and attack the goal at speed. (1 or 2)
Defender-
**Once the ball is played, you can defend. (If the players are good enough, let them play the ball in)
**If you win the ball, you can score in the opposite goal. (Attacker can defend)
Set 1- No Restriction. Play the ball in and let the game do the teaching. This will also allow time for the players to show their individual creativity.
Set 2- Must see an inside cut before you score.
Set 3- Must see an outside cut before you score.
Each set is 5 min with 1-2 of rest.
**During this time we should reinforce: How to do the skill properly (technique)? When to do the skill (timing)? Where to do the skill (which direction to escape)? Why to do the skill (escape defender)?**
**We should let the game do the coaching. Repetition and reinforcing the above will result in a quality session. Once the players are confirming the skill, we should focus on the speed of play**

Players dribble towards the middle square and perform the skill (Inside or outside), then dribble back to the line. (Progression- players pass back to the line)
1- Inside Cut
2- Outsied Cut
3- Competition (Race) Inside and then outside
*Once finished sit down, first team sitting down wins*
4- Side Step Cut- Outside... IF TIME ALLOWS
Each set should take 3-4 min and then a 1-2 min rest period. During the rest period, give your coahing points and demonstration for the next set. 3-4 players per line.
**Cut is one sharp touch to change direction.**
**Confirmation of the skill and Repetition are KEY**
**If more players show up create lines on the cones marked with "A". This helps with managing a rush of numbers after the session has started**
