Players in Wall Guide
Goalkeeper wall setup guideline.
Use the grid above to determine how many players should be in the wall. If the ball is is in the grid area that is how many players should be in the wall 10 yards away.
Process:
1.) Stay engaged with the ball and central in goal until referee calls for the restart on his/her whistle and steps out 10 yards.
2.) Align wall with nearest to the ball post
3.) be loud and forceful about wall alignment
4.) make sure post end player faces you to align wall
5.) You need to see the ball from central to furthest post location
Team work:
1.) Assign players to be in wall prior to game
2.) Assign player to ensure 10 yards are given and restart happens to get everyone setup
3.) Forwards and midfielders in wall, full backs and midfielders should be marking players or zonal area.
4.) Forward runs wall until ref stops game to count 10 yards, then GK takes over.
5. Wall covers near post, GK covers far post
