Stress the importance of positional awareness in both areas and remind players to exploit the space, create passing lanes and provide support to their teammates to create chances. Put emphasis on clear and constant communication as it is crucial in this practice in order to make quick decisions during transitions. Teach players on the team of 8 how to create spaces for shooting opportunities. Encourage quick combination plays, one-touch passing if possible and movement to create chances on the goals. Instruct the team of 6 to maintain a compact defensive shape in both areas and emphasize the importance of pressuring the ball, blocking passing lanes and working as a unit.
