defending the box and transitioning into an attack and adding in players to make it difficult for the defenders to follow my session plan.

my topic is defending the box. an opposing player will deliver the ball into the box and defenders need to deal with the long ball and try to retain the ball and clear it and possible start an attack, the defenders will be unappossed for the start of the session.
defending the box is really important in football because it is key to not concending to your opponent. the blue team will not be involved unless the are delivering the ball to test the defenders.

progression:
in this stage because my players are really competitive and compete at a good level i will be add a progression too defending the box and making it apposed the blues will pass the ball around to move the defenders round and to begin the attack
when reds have had success with defending he box they will then start to make their attacking transition and put their opponent on the back foot, they will have 3 goals to attack 2 are smaller and one full goal with a goalkeeper.
i want the red team to keep it really tight when they are winning the ball and keeping their shape. also when the reds win the ball back i want the defence to push up and defending the box is when the ball is dead away from the box.
blocks/timing:
i want players to be working in a block of 5 minutes and i will get them in and show them on a tactics board and what i want them to improve and work on in the next block. i will be giving them coaching points during each block.
cooldown:
small,slow intensity and static stretches.
