Football/Soccer Session (Difficult): AFC Bournemouth - Pre-Season Session
Description
AFC Bournemouth open session took place on July 13th, 2015 as part of their US pre-season tour at PPL Park training complex the day before their scheduled friendly against Philadelphia Union.
The session was led by manager Eddie Howe and his coaching staff; Jason Tindall, Simon Weatherstone & keepr coach Neil Moss. The tempo of the session was very high throughout with players moving from one exercise to the next with little rest.
AFC Bournemouth won the game vs Philadelphia Union 4-1 with goals from King, Wilson, Pugh & Rantie.

Organization
10 players in each area. Players work in pairs. Coach plays ball in to one team, the other team must send a two defenders (a pair) across to try and win the ball. If it breaks down coach plays a new ball to other team and which ever player/pair loses the ball defends the other box.
Progression
- After 10 passes send a new pair to defend
- First to 50 passes wins

Organization
Two teams. Red team starts with the ball as attackers, white team defenders. The 3 reds dribble out to attack 2 defenders to goal. Once a goal is scored or play breaks down reds transition to defence, one player dropping off to make 2. White team attacks with 3 new players. The sequence continues.

- First team to 10 goals wins

3 teams, 7v7 format. Red team vs white team, blue team rests off to the side. 3 minute games. Winner stays on. If the ball goes out of bounds it restarts with the possession teams keeper.
Progression
- Winner = most wins within the time period.
- Session ended with a penalty shootout

Following some light jogging and dynamic stretching the players took part in speed and agility work. Two groups, one player from each group goes through a series of sharp movements before accelerating forward.
