ORGANIZATION:

All 14 players are in the centre half circle (or equivalant size if circle not available for use)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Without Ball: Walk, light jog, skip, open gate, close gate, butt kix, high knees, shuffles, high fives, shoulder bumps, ..etc

OBJECTIVES:

Elevate heart rate

Warm up different parts of the body

Changing directions often

Tempo of movement

Awareness of whats around them

Warm up - Neural Prep (Quick Feet) (5 mins)

ORGANIZATION:

4 Lines of 4 players per line. Rows of 4 cones per line (16 cones), 2 feet apart.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Players will begin the warm up by going through a series of instructions through the cones (wrap arounds, quick feet, slalom, lunge, side shuffle, jockey, jog backwards,sprints etc.)

OBJECTIVES:

Imporved neuro muscular coordination, speed and power

Technical Warm Up - King Louis Passing (10 mins)

ORGANIZATION:

Set up 20 x 15 yrd grid, arrange 2 teams of 3 inside the grid, one Black and one White team. Add an endzone player to each team make 4 players per team.One ball for play. Divide grid with cones to make two zones of 10yrds . Have extra balls around the grid for easy access when needed. Coach to stand outside grid at the halfway line next to some extra balls, ready to serve a new ball if needed.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Ball is played in by coach to one team (white). Players pass ball on their side of grid, trying to open

gaps and keep ball away from one defending player from opposite team, which is allowed to cross the halfway line and apply pressure. Players try to target their endzone teamate with a pentrating pass

thru the defending players on the opposite side, looking for gaps. 1 point for every completed penetrating pass completed to the target player in the endzone. Once pass is complete, and point is scored, opposing team re-starts with ball. Switch enzone player every 3 to 4 minutes

50 x 60yd (Halfway Line) Playing Area. 7v7. Include Goalkeepers. Use different formations for each team. White - 1-2-3-1, and Black - 1-3-2-1. Place extra balls on outside of grid for easy access.

One team wears white bibs, opposing team wears black bibs. GK for White wears a Red Bib, and GK for Black wears a Green Bib. Set up 2 goals at each end as the targets.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Try to score more goals than the opposing team in the alotted game time.

Any ball out of play restarts with a kick in.  No Offsides.

Introduction of theme - Width / Depth and Pentration from Zone 1 (Playing out from the back)

Read your teammates eyes, body mechanics and plant foot - cues

Width and Depth as soon as we gain possession.

Angle and Distance of suppporting players closest to ball and away from the ball

Speed of Play- , 1st touch decision - see the picture in front of you early - scan

Movement off the ball - as / when the ball travels - create space

Penetration vs Possession - have patience, decide weather to penetrate if its there, or keep possession

Body Positon - Open hips, eyes on ball and able to see the field of play

ORGANIZATION:

Arrange 2 teams, 8 v 6, include GKS , in a 50yrd x 60yrd playing area

White team is in a 1-2-3-2 formation and black is in a 1-1-3-1 formation.

One ball for play and extra ones on the outside for easy access

GK for White wears a Red Bib, and GK for Black wears a Green Bib. Set up 2 goals at each end as the targets.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Goalkeeper plays ball to the full back, he will play strikers feet first if possible, where we can do quick combination play to make a chance at at ahot on goal. Alternativley, numbers 1-4 may be the choice of pass for the centre back , 1 being best option - to striker. 2nd and 3rd options can be to the Winger or Central Mid, 4th option is a pass to the GK to possibly play it to the other side to re-start the sequence. No Offisdes. Balls out of bounds is played back in with a pass. Balls that go out of bounds at endlines will be played in by GK with feet via goal kick. Teams play to score as many goals as possible in the alloted time

Cool Down - Recovery Time (5 mins)

ORGANIZATION:

Players set up in pairs, 20 yrds apart from eachother, with a space of 3 yrds between pairs

INSTRUCTIONS:

Players will begin the cooldown by jogging 10 yrds toward their partner, and go through a series of instructions (light jog, skip, walk, open gate, close gate, bushwackers, clap, high five, low five, kick legs out, lunge, side shuffle, jockey, jog backwards, etc.). Allow for 3 to 5 min before moving into static cooldown stretches.
