Ball Mastery: Have players form a circle around the coach. Coach will demonstate different Coerver moves for the players to perform. Assist and make sure all players are performing moves correctly and with proper technique.

Activity 1:striking ball through gates. Be sure to teach players proper technique of ball striking (using inside of foot and instep, non-kicking foot next to ball pointed at target, eyes on ball when striking). All players in large grid, half of the players start with a ball. They must pass to a player who does not have a ball through gates. Must use inside of foot through yellow gates and instep through orange/red gates.

Activity 2: Power striking the ball to teammates past pressure. 3 separate grids set up, defensive players in the middle 3rd grid. Offensive teammates on the outside 3rd grids. Offensive teammates must connect long passes through defensive pressure by power-striking the ball. Switch player roles throughout.

Scrimmage: Ensure players are properly striking the ball. Encourage players to use instep when making long passes, clearing the ball, or long shots and to use inside of foot when making short passes or short shots.

Warmup: players are in a coned section dribbling and doing dynamic stretches in between. Players should be encouraged to dribble with their head up and perform ball fakes when they approach another player.
