SET UP:
- Small sided game to begin session. Introduce topic and objectives for the session.
- Goals in centre of pitch, facing outwards. Normal match conditions, but have to be in opposition half before team to score.
- Try to keep numbers low (ideally 2v2) to promote shielding/protecting/turns/dribbling but also the option to pass.

POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
- Dribble gates/zones that players have to go into/through before they can score. Use to facilitate scenario where defender will be coming from behind when pressuring ball.

SET UP:
-Ball mastery warm up. Focus on 1v1 moves that will be applicable for the session (fients/fakes/double movements).

SET UP:
- 1v1 game with 2 goals.
- Both players will stand next to each other between the two goals. Coach or Setter will play ball onto the pitch, the first player to get to the ball is the attacker. They will try and turn to facetowards goals and score in either goal.

- USE OF BODY AND ARMS TO PROTECT/ SHIELD BALL
- BODY POSITION (SIDEWAYS/BENT KNEES) TO INCREASE DISTANCE BETWEEN DEFENDER AND THE BALL.
- USE OF FURTHEST FOOT FROM DEFENDER TO FURTHER INCREASE DISTANCE BETWEEN DEFENDER AND BALL
- FOOT ON BALL TO HELP INCREASE BALL CIRCULATION AND MOVE/COMMIT DEFENDER
- CAN YOU USE YOUR INDIVIDUAL SKILLS TO PROTECT THE BALL FROM AN OPPOSING DEFENDER?

SET UP:
- 2v1 breakout box game.
- On the same pitch as the previous activity. There is now a 1v1 in a central box with a player outside with a ball.
- The attacking player in the box seeks to create space to recieve. The feeder will play the ball into the box and the attacker will try to dribble out another side. once they have dribbled out the game will become live and both attackers will work to score in either of the goals.
KEY POINTS:
- USE OF BODY AND ARMS TO PROTECT/ SHIELD BALL
- BODY POSITION (SIDEWAYS/BENT KNEES) TO INCREASE DISTANCE BETWEEN DEFENDER AND THE BALL.

POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
- Game becomes live once ball enters box.
- 2v2 with additional defender outside of box.

- 7v7 match Vs 08 Boys OR conditioned game with scenarios relating to session.
- Players pick positions. Use positions that are realistic to the game/how they will play on a weekend.

SET UP:
- Aerial control arrival activity.
- *This is an additional element to the session. This is something we will not work on within the session but we can use this time to work on this particular element without taking up a whole session.*
- Player will start with the ball in hand. They throw the ball in the air above them and the try to successfully trap the ball with their feet or use a controlling touch to move the ball into space.

- WHAT PART OF THE FOOT WILL YOU USE TO CONTROL? (INSIDE/OUTSIDE/LACES/SOLE/HEEL)

- CAN YOU CONTROL CLOSE TO BODY OR CAN YOU USE TOUCH TO MOVE INTO SPACE?
