Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): 2.Small Sided Game - In Possession- SWITCHING PLAY

Transition: 6 v 6 +2 supports per team

Primary Focus

The objective of this task is to be able to switch plays from one side to the other even with limited space, facilitating decision-making with two offensive supports. Shifting the ball from one side to the other and taking advantage of the space to score a goal.

Organisation

18 Players will be organized into two teams. The red team will be 1-3-2-1+2 and the blue team 1-2-3-1+2

Area Size

The area size will be 30m in length and 40m wide. Adding a small channel for the outside players 

Player No's

18 players in total, 6 players + 1 goalkeeper inside and 2 offensive supports by each team outside

Timings

16 minutes split into 1 min walk through, 3x3minute blocks, allowing 2 minutes break 

Explanation

The task consists of having possession of the ball and moving it from one side to the other to create space. The ball must pass through 7 & 11 which are wingers or Fullbacks before scoring a goal.

The blue team will begin in possession and they will try to make the pitch big and move the ball around the opposition, while shifting the ball from one side to another.The red team will be defending and they will try to deny the pass and recover the ball if they win the ball they must keep possession and play with their 7 & 11 to score. 

Conditions

The space for a 7 v 7 is a constraint for both teams because the space is very limited, but what is sought is for the players to be alert because it demands more intensity but in less work time.
Offensive supports have 2 personal touches but cannot enter the areas or be pressured by the opponent.

The challenge for both teams id to switch the play to the oposite side
