Activity 1- Finishing aroung the 18
Set Up- An 18 yard box width and extended about 10-15 yards longer, 3 teams of 5 players (depending on numbers), 2 teams in the 18 with a gk from the other team, 4 players placed around the 18 with 3-4 balls each.
Activity-You have a service team (reds), the blue team that is attacking and the white team that is defending. The blues play for 2 minutes and receive the balls clockwise (1,2,3,4 back to 1). The blues attempt to score as many goals as they can in the time allotted while the whites defend and attempt to clear the ball.
After 2 minutes, the reds come on and attack, the blues defend, and the whites come off and be the service group (attackers go to defending, the defending team comes off, and the service team attacks). The game is played again for 2 minutes.
Progression-
Part 1- Wide players instead of playing the ball into feet, they serve the ball as a cross for the attacking team to try and finish
Part 2- next screen
Coaching Points-
Attacking- quality movement off the ball, always looking to score first, quality pass/quality first touch

Finishing Warm Up
Finishing Warm Up
Set up- use the 18 yard box width plus 10-15 yards extended, every player needs a ball, split your team into two teams. You may need to have another activity set up like this to keep numbers low. You dont want 8 players standing on each team waiting to go.
Activity- Blue team starts first, one player pushes the ball into space aiming towards the top of the 18 and shoots it, then transitions to defending the white player who can start their attack once the blue player shoots. The white player attempts to attack and score in the goal. Once the ball is shot or the ball goes out of bounds, the next player goes.
Play for 3 minutes then change the team roles, every goal counts as 1 point.
Coaching Points- good finishing technique with the laces, landing on your kicking foot, plant foot next to the ball or a little behind, good 1V1 ability to take players on and get to goal, change direction and speed.
