Ball Manipulation Warm Up
Players get one ball each and are given 5 minutes of free time to either practice a skill/juggle/dribble the ball.
Fake Turn
After the 5 minutes we will cover a move, the first move will be a fake turn with an emphasis on dropping the shoulder and outdoing the opponent.
Coaching Points
Go through the key characteristics of the fake turn and practice the movement without the ball and then progress to using the ball stationary and move onto doing it on the move.

Dribbling Unopposed
The same setup as the Movement Warm Up, this time players are given a football and manipulate the ball using different surfaces of the foot. Using the four different coloured squares, the coach will shout a colour and players will have to get to the corner as fast as possible. To progress, the coach will scatter a number of cones in the middle and players have to use different surfaces to move from cone to cone.
Dribbling Opposed
Same set up as above, 2/3 players will be designated taggers and will look to try and take a ball from a runner when they try and get to a colour. The taggers will be looking to put their foot on a defenders ball, change taggers regularly. The taggers can only get the attackers footballs once the coach shouts a colour.

NON Ball Warm Up (10 mins)
Warm Ups
The first warm ups will be introducing the players to a number of movement patterns. These warm ups will be done without the ball.
1) Players are spread out in a 20 by 20 grid and are told to move around the grid using different methods of movements (forwards/backwards/side to side/hopping/jumping)
2) Colours - 4 corners of different colours - Players are continuing the different types of movements, once the coach shouts out a colour, players have to react quickly and quickly get into that colour square. Have a couple of practice goes and then do an elimination round where players who enter the coloured square last will be eliminated. To add a progression, scatter some cones in the square where players have to move from one to another until the coach shouts a colour.
